Feeling Is Believing

Feeling Is Believing

“I’ll believe it when I see it!”

How many times have you heard that? What a cynical worldview! Almost everything I believe in is due to a feeling, not seeing! It’s listening to your heart, your gut, and that inner voice that guides you in the right direction.

Seeing is just what’s on the surface. You can see a car, your home, your clothes and all other material items. That’s all well and good, but those things don’t evoke true feelings.

Can you say “I’ll believe it when I see it” to love?

Can you say ‘I’ll believe it when I see it” to peace?

Can you say “I’ll believe it when I see it” to consciousness?

Absolutely not! These are all phenomenons associated with feelings. Pure and true and deep feelings found deep within your heart and soul! Try something with me…

Inhale for ten seconds, hold the breath for ten seconds and exhale for ten seconds.

How do you feel? Calm? Inspired? Relaxed? I know you feel something and it has nothing to do with what you can see. We should rely more on what we feel than what we see — how many times have you ignored your gut instinct only to say later “I wish I had listened to that little voice inside my head?” The more in tune we are with those instincts, those feelings, those natural parts inside of us that try to guide us in the right direction, the happier we all can become.

Not only that, but the more in touch you are with what you feel, the better you know your true self. The more you know your true self, the more in touch you are with the world. The more in touch you are with the world, the better equipped you are to serve others, which I believe is our highest good.

Gandhi once said, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” I couldn’t agree more with the wonderful Mahatma Gandhi, but we should also keep in our hearts the thought that we should also be the change we wish to FEEL in the world.

Feeling is believing, kids. And don’t you forget it!

Peace, Grace, Love and Namasgar,
